How do I find the sharing-address for my calendar? 📅

Below is a guide for some regular calendar systems, to find the ics-address which is the address you copy and paste in to the field "calendar-address" when you create the post.

The set-up can be slightly different in installations; if you do not find the options as described below, contact the one responsible for your systems.

This is how you find the ics-address:

Google

  • Open your Google-account in a browser and go to the calendar.
  • Select "Settings for the calendar" for the calendar you want to share.
  • Copy the address which is behind the green [ical]-icon for private address.
  • Paste this address in the field for calendar-address when you create a calendar post.

Outlook (Office 365)

  • Open your Office365-account in a browser and go to the calendar.
  • Select "Share calendar" from the Calendar-folder on the Home-menu.
  • Right-click on the calendar you want to share and select "Sharing permissions".
  • In the field "Send a sharing invitation by e-mail" you fill in an external e-mail-address to yourself, for instance Gmail og iCloud. Select that you shall be able to see all details, and click "Share".
  • When you receive the e-mail with the invitation, it will say at the bottom "Do you have problems displaying the calendar? Try adding an Internet-calendar, and use this webaddress." Copy the address that is linked to this text.
  • Paste this address in the field for calendar-address when you create a calendar post.

iCloud

  • Open the iCloud-account in a browser and go to the calendar.
  • Click on the sharing-icon to the right of the calendar you want to display.
  • Select "External calendar" if this is not already selected.
  • Copy the address by clicking "Copy link".
  • Paste this address in the field for calendar-address when you create a calendar post.
