Display Image from Online and Webcam
Display images from a webcam, Dropbox or other places online. PinToMind will retrieve the image which is online continuously as it is being updated.
💡Image online posts can be used in various ways; webcam which displays traffic or any other place of interest. The post can also be used to display sales-statistics, weather data, energy consumption etc. which is added as a web address by other programs. If you have images which are updated regularly on your public screens, - eg. statistics, schedule or roster - you can add this image to Dropbox, and the public screen will retrieve the newest image.
The image-online-post can only display files of the types PNG and JPG and must start with " https://" and end with "filename.jpg" (or png).
Add more text, link and attachment in PinToMind Go
In PinToMind 3, you can add extra information to be displayed only in the mobile app PinToMind Go. Click on the phone icon"📱" and enter text, link for more information, and/or attachment.
Instructions for displaying images online from common programs
Display image from Dropbox
- Log in at dropbox.com.
- Select to share a file in Dropbox.
- Paste the URL of the image into the address-field in an Image online-post.
- Change the ending of the url from dl=0 to dl=1 at the end, click "save" and it is supposed to be displayed properly. In certain cases, we have also experienced that adding the ending raw=1 instead of dl=1, works well.
- Select the display option you want and publish to the screen/s you want to display it on.
If you experience problems with displaying images from Dropbox on Samsung Tizen, you can try changing the prefix in the link, from https://www.dropbox.com/... to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/... .
Display image from OneDrive
- Log in at onedrive.com.
- Open the image you want to share.
- Select "</> Embed"
- A side menu with a text box is now displayed. Select "original size" and deselect "include HTML tags".
- Copy the URL and paste it into the Image online-post.
- Select the display option you want and publish to the screen/s you want to display it on.
Display image from Google Disc
- Right-click on the image you want to share from Google Disc.
- Click "Get a link".
- Choose that everyone who has the link should be able to use it.
- Click "Copy link"
- Find the ID from the link (Eg.: Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bEDAFuD5ZPiVexAL4Al56hyqJ3THqSlU/view?usp=sharing ID: 1bEDAFuD5ZPiVexAL4Al56hyqJ3THqSlU)
- Paste the ID in the following link: https://drive.google.com/thumbnail?authuser=0&sz=w1920&id= (Example: https://drive.google.com/thumbnail?authuser=0&sz=w1920&id=1bEDAFuD5ZPiVexAL4Al56hyqJ3THqSlU)
- Paste this entire last link including ID into a Image online-post.
- Select the display option you want and publish to the screen/s you want to display it on.
