Display images from Instagram


ℹ️ Freshen up your public screens by displaying images from Instagram! The Instagram-post on your public screens will automatically retrieve new images and keep people updated, at the same time as you get to advertise about where people can follow you. The images on the public screen will be automatically updated when there are new images on Instagram.

NOTE: You can display images from an Instagram Business or Creator account.

Give access to the Instagram account

To display images from a Business or Creator account on Instagram, on your PinToMind channel, you must authenticate and grant access.

  1. Select "Library" in the left menu, followed by "Integrations".
  2. Select "Instagram". 

  3. Click "Connect" and log in with your Instagram account. You must give the PinToMind app access to retrieve data from your account.

    ℹ️ If you try to log in with an Instagram account that is not a Business or Creator account, you will be given the option (from Instagram) to switch to this. This can also be done in advance under "Settings" on Instagram.

  4. If the authentication is successful, the account you authenticated with appears. Click on "Add to library" on the resources you want to add, and click on "Use in new post" if you want to create a new post.

  5. Once you have authenticated, you can also create a new post by selecting the "Instagram" post in the list of new posts. You can then choose the Instagram user from the library. If the resource is not found in the library, you can go back to the integration in the library and add it.


Limit amount of images and time period

The Instagram-post displays the images one by one, together with the text in the post.

Limit amount: You can yourself decide how many images to display, default is the last five. 

Limit time period: You can also select how far back in time you want to display images from Instagram. Default is no limitation.

Selection: You can also show all images, even if there are several in a post, or you can choose to show one image per post.

Enter more text, links and attachments for PinToMind Go

You can add extra information to be displayed only in the mobile app PinToMind Go. Click on the mobile icon "📱" and enter text, link for more info and/or attachment. 

Preview and save

We recommend testing the different options here, select channel(s) and area of the screen that you want the post displayed in, preview, and save when you are happy with it. 😊

Videos and Reels

Video-posts from your Instagram-account will be displayed on your public screen with the image you chose as a cover-photo for your video, marked with a video-icon. Reels cannot be displayed in the Instagram-post, but the text from the reels-post will be displayed on the screen.

How to delete my Instagram data?

To delete all data associated with your Instagram account with us, you can follow the steps below:
  1. Delete all Instagram posts. (Also check "Recently deleted")
  2. Delete all Instagram resources. (Also check "Recently deleted")
  3. Delete the integration. Go to "Library" -> "Integrations" -> "Instagram (@Your Account)" -> "Delete".
You can also disconnect the integration from PinToMind by going to "Settings" on Instagram. Select "Apps and Websites" and click "Remove" on the app.
