Display a Webpage
ℹ️ Do you want to display a webpage on your public screens? If what you want to display is available on an open URL/webpage that is adapted to information screens, that does not require logging in, and can be displayed in an iframe, then you can use the Webpage post.
Must be made for public screens
Few webpages are designed for this type of use. The webpage will take over parts of the information screen, and can quickly cause errors in the display. The error is often due to the web page displayed, and/or equipment and local network on the relevant screen.
We do not have the access or capacity to troubleshoot, but here are things that are important to think about:
- Test on your equipment: Even if it displays well in preview, you may have equipment that can not display modern CSS and Javascript.
- Pop-up alerts can not be hidden if they are placed on the website.
- Login to the website is not possible. It must have an open address.
- HTTPS is required (the adress must start with https:// ).
- Readability: Layout and text should be readable, even at a distance. The page should also be made so that the layout will adjust itself to different screen-sizes.
- Download time: The page must be easy to read and quick - heavy or slow pages will lead to an unstable display.
- Permission: Content on the website may be protected by copyright or the like.
- Firewall: Some info screens are connected to networks with firewall restrictions. If that is the case, you must open up for the website in the firewall.
- iframe: We use iframe, code for including a webpage in another webpage, to display webpages on public screens. The webpage you want to display must be open for for display in iframe on external pages.
Webpages will be displayed differently depending on the resolution of the screen, content and technology of webpage, browser, operative system and which hardware that is used. The display of a webpage can therefore be displayed differently on the public screen than the way it looks when you preview it on your own machine.

Good luck! 😊
Zoom in the Webpage post
It is possible to set the zoom level on the display of the Webpage post. Grab the slider and zoom in or out, and preview before saving.
Webpages that have settings for how they appear in different resolutions (so-called Responsive Web Design) will adapt to the zoom.
If the webpage does not display in preview
There are two common causes to why webpages will not appear on public screens and/or in preview:
HTTP cannot be displayed
HTTPS is required (the adress must start with https://). You can read about the difference between HTTP and HTTPS on Wikipedia.
The solution is to contact the supplier of the web page to see if it is available in https://.
Pages may be blocked for display
We use iframe, code for including a webpage in another webpage, to display webpages on public screens. Some pages have a barrier towards display in an iframe on external websites. Unfortunately, for such pages, there is nothing we can do on our behalf, but we can help you test if this applies to the page that you want to display.
The solution to displaying such a page is that the site provider allows for display in iframe on external pages. We recommend you contacting the supplier and explaining what you want to show and where, and asking if they can open it for such use.
If the webpage displays in preview but not on the screen
- If the webpage displays in preview, but not on the actual screen, you may have equipment that can not display modern CSS and Javascript. Check if it is possible to update the equipment.
- Some info screens are connected to networks with firewall restrictions. If that is the case, you must open up for the website in the firewall.
