Display content from Power BI
🖥️ Test on your equipment: Power BI is a service from Microsoft, and we do not control its content or display. The posts should therefore be tested if it works on your hardware. It may not work on the physical screen even if it displays correctly in the preview. Of the hardware we recommend, it is supported as of today with the exception of Samsung Smart Signage with SSSP6 and older.
Give access to display reports and dashboards from Power BI
To display reports and dashboards from your Power BI account, you must authenticate and grant access.
- Select "Library" in the left menu, followed by "Integrations".
- Select "Power BI".
- Click "Connect" and log in with your Power BI account. You must give "PinToMind / Infoskjermen" access to retrieve data from your account.*
- If the authentication is successful, you get a list of the resources available on your account. Click on "Add to library" on the resources you want to add, and click on "Use in new post" if you want to create a new post.
- Once you have authenticated, you can also create a new post by selecting the "Power BI" post in the list of new posts. You can then choose a report or a dashboard from the library. If the resource is not found in the library, you can go back to the integration in the library and add it.
*Due to settings in the Microsoft system for your organisation, the system administrator may need to approve pairing with new apps. Enter reason in "Enter justification for requesting this app" and select "Request approval". The request will be sent to the system manager in your organisation, and you will receive an email when it has been approved.
Display options
You can choose to view reports or dashboards from your account. A report can contain several pages, so you can also choose whether you want to display one page, or whether you want to scroll all the pages in the report.
- Click on the resource in the post. In the right side panel, you can change the display options and possibly which page you want to display.
