Installation on Chrome devices - with Chrome-upgrade (fmr. license)

💡 This is a guide for setting up and using equipment for PinToMind. Although we have a guide, it is not a recommendation. Find information about equipment we recommend, on our website.

❗️NB: Google has started phasing out Chrome apps in kiosk mode. From September 2025 it is not possible to order a new Chrome upgrade via PinToMind.

If you need a Chrome upgrade, we recommend using your own Chrome Device Management.

❌ Are you using PinToMind 3, and want to cancel a previously ordered Chrome upgrade, contact us at support@pintomind.com and we'll help you.

ℹ️ This guide is for you who use newer Chrome devices that need a Chrome-upgrade (fmr. Chrome-licence), and want automatic start of PinToMind when the device is switched on.

Use your own Chrome Device Management

Chrome Device Management is a web-based tool from Google for managing and monitoring Chrome devices. On Google's website you will find instructions and more information about Chrome Device Management.

If you already have, or want to set up, your own Chrome Device Management and use it on information screens, it is possible. In that case, you can set up rules for the Chrome devices yourself on the administration pages, and add our PWA app via a web address.

Select "Add via URL" and use "https://app.pintomind.com/live/"

Connect the screen

  1. When using "https://app.pintomind.com/live/" a code appears on the screen.
  2. a. If you use PinToMind 3On another computer or mobile: Log in to your PinToMind-account. Go to "Screens" in the left menu and select "+ CONNECT A NEW SCREEN".

    b. If you use PinToMind ClassicOn another computer or mobile: Log in to your PinToMind-account in https://app.pintomind.com/connect.

  3. Enter the code on the screen in order to connect to your account.
  4. Select which channel (PinToMind 3) or screen (PinToMind Classic) to display on the device.

    You can change the channel/screen displayed on this device, at any time. 

  5. The channel/screen you selected now starts displaying on your device.
