Count up or down with the Time Counter
ℹ️ Set a time that you wish to count down to. Like an event or a trip, the opening of a new building or something else that you are looking forward to.
Or set a time that you count up from, and inform about how long it has been since a particular event. For example, you can count the number of days since the last unwanted incident, injury-free days, etc.
GO TO:
Count up or down, from and to
When you create a Time Counter, you select a from and to time. If you just want to count down to something, just change the to date, and the from date will automatically be set to today's date. In the same box, you select whether you want to count down or count up.
Repeat the Time Counter
Choose whether you want the timer to repeat every day, week, or year.
💡 If you do not choose to have the Time Counter repeat, it may be a good idea to schedule this post, so that it is not displayed when it is no longer relevant.
Options for when the counter is finished
Click "🏁 When finished", and you can choose what to show when the timer is finished. For example, you can replace the timer with a media box when the timer is finished. Then you can add an image, emoji, icon or a GIF. Press "Show the ending" to preview how the counter looks during the final 5 seconds and when it is finished.
Select how long you want the termination to be displayed before restarting the counter, in "Duration of message before counter restart".
Extra - select background image, colors and font
In the "💎 Extra" tab you will find even more options for how the display should be set, and you can create nice timers tailored to what you are counting down to.
You can choose between a few different fonts. You can choose a background image, background color, and main color for the area. If you add a text in the Label-field, this replaces the text until or since in display options that support this.
Display options
You can choose from six nice Time Counter display options. A brief explanation of each is found below. Test and preview until you find the one that best suits your needs.⏳
Circles
The default display option is "Circles". This displays the count for each second and indicates how far you have come in the counting period.
Numbers only
Numbers only is as the name describes. But it can be made more lively with the font, color, and image options in "💎 Extra".
Color blocks
Here the numbers are boxed in and given colors. In "💎 Extra" you can choose the color yourself, or let them follow the colors of the channel's theme.
Timeline
With Timeline you can display how far you have come in a period.
By repeating the post daily and counting between eg. 11:00 and 11:30, you can, for example, show the lunch break. Very practical! 👌
Rings
Rings are particularly suitable for smaller areas on the channel, such as B and C. It has 3 rings for seconds, minutes and hours and the number in the middle shows the largest unit of time left. The small text under "Days" can be replaced in the "💎 Extra" tab. Default text is until or since.
Step-by-step circle
A really neat timer! The number in the middle of the Step-by-step circle counts the highest unit of time remaining. The bars around it show the next unit that counts. For example, if there are 5 hours left until something, the hours are displayed in the middle while the minutes count down around it.
Extra info in the mobile app
You can add extra information that will only be displayed in the mobile app, PinToMind Go. Click on the phone-icon "📱" and enter text, links for more information and/or attachments.
Select time zone
If you want the Time Counter to have a different time zone than the channel's default, you can change the time zone in the "💎 Extra" tab.
