Manage channels

ℹ️  A channel is a collection of posts that is displayed on your screen.

  • You can have an unlimited number of channels on the PinToMind account.
  • Each channel can be displayed on one or several physical screens.
  • Each channel can have its own layout (areas) and theme.
  • When you have several channels registered on your account, you can choose to display both similar and different information on different screens and in the mobile app, PinToMind Go.
  • You can place posts in different areas on different channels, and you can easily change the order and position of posts on each channel.
  • You can at any time change which channel is displayed on the connected physical screens.
  • You can have both active and inactive channels. E.g. a channel can be created and prepared with content to be displayed at an event or during a holiday, then the channel is ready for use when the time comes. 🎉

Portrait or landscape channel

If you choose to create a portrait or landscape channel, the content can be displayed on physical screens and it can be shared to the mobile app, PinToMind Go.

Create new channel for portrait or landscape screen:

  1. Select "+ NEW CHANNEL" in the menu to the left.

  2. Select layout.

    Click the tabs Landscape or Portrait, and you will find even more possible layouts. The layouts have one or more areas for posts, clock, logo and ticker. You can choose to use one or more areas depending on the layout you choose. Find more information about layout and areas on the channel here.

  3. Select a theme: Use the default theme, choose another ready-made theme or customize your own theme.

    The theme gives the channel a holistic expression. You can choose a ready-made theme from a network, or you can customize your own with e.g. background image, pattern, or accent color. Find more information about channel themes here.

  4. Select language and time zone, if other than default.
  5. 📱Optional: Share the channel to the mobile app, PinToMind Go. How to is found here.
  6. Preview and save when you are happy with the settings on the channel.

PinToMind Go channel


For dedicated PinToMind Go channels, which are only to be displayed in the mobile app, you can choose a practical layout that provides some great display options: For example, you can organize posts in areas, by category, which gives a neat and well-structured presentation for mobile display.

With a PinToMind Go channel, you can also display a logo, icon, emoji or image at the top.

NB: A PinToMind Go channel cannot be displayed on a physical screen, only in the mobile app.

Create new PinToMind Go channel:

  1. Select "+ NEW CHANNEL" in the menu to the left.
  2. Select PinToMind Go

  3. Give an own name and label to the channel if you wish. Default name is PinToMind Go.

  4. Customize the header image, which will display at the top of the channel in the mobile app.

    You can e.g. upload your logo. You can also display an image of your choice, or choose an icon or an emoji, and choose a theme color, to customize the channel.

  5. You can share the channel to the mobile app directly, or wait until you've created more of the content to be displayed. 📱How to share the channel to the mobile app is found here.

  6. Select language and time zone, if other than default.

    Preview and save when you are happy with the settings on the channel.

  7. Once the channel is saved, you can click "Edit areas" to create and customize areas in which you can group posts.


Convert a screen channel to a PinToMind Go channel

If you have a screen channel that is only used in the mobile app, and is not used for display on any physical screen, it is possible to convert the channel to a dedicated PinToMind Go channel. Once converted, it cannot be connected to a screen, only displayed in the mobile app.

💡 If you want, you can copy the channel before converting. Then you can have a channel for the screen and a dedicated channel for the mobile app, which at that point displays the same content.

  1. Go to the Channel in question, in the menu on the left.
  2. Click the mobile icon 📱 and select Manage sharing.

  3. Select Convert to a Go channel.

    NB: The option to convert a channel is hidden if that channel is currently displayed on a connected physical screen.

  4. The channel is instantly converted to a mobile app-only channel.

Copy channel

If you want to make a copy of a channel and the associated layout, theme and posts, go to the channel in question. Press "⚙️ SETTINGS" and the button with the three dots next to the SAVE button, and you will find the option to save a copy of the channel.

Delete channel

If you want to delete a channel, go to the relevant channel. Press "⚙️ SETTINGS" and the button with the three dots next to the SAVE button, and you will find the option to delete the channel.


If there are posts that were published only to this channel, when deleting the channel they end up in the list of all posts, and can be reused on other channels.
